Simple Guidelines for Form Design

Forms are used to collect information from users which are central to the success of many online businesses and as such the importance of ease-of-use cannot be over-emphasised. Forms are often the cause of serious usability problems online. An alarming number of users fail to complete the form correctly, or simply become frustrated and quit. Perhaps because the stakes are higher users really want to be sure when completing online forms.

We need to build forms which work with rather against the user, the following are a few simple guidelines to improve theusability of this key interaction:
