Grounded theory: a thumbnail sketch
12th Mar. 2003
This is intended as a brief overview. I’ve tried to provide just enough detail to serve as an overall framework. My intention is tosupport people using grounded theory, particularly for thesis purposes.
I’ve written it particularly with psychology postgraduates in mind. There is much about it that suits psychological research. But in those psychology schools where a narrow empiricism reigns (I think that’s most of them) it may appear counter-cultural. Ihope it may also be useful to others.
